But often the deeper issue is not effort. It is identity.

When we try to build our spiritual lives on performance rather than the finished work of Christ, fear, control, and shame begin to shape how we see ourselves, how we relate to God, and how we lead others.

The Gospel offers something radically different. It invites us to stop striving to become someone we are not and begin living from who we already are in Christ.
